HAZWOPER Training
What is HAZWOPER?
HAZWOPER is Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response, covered by OSHA’s standard 1910.120. It covers organizations that have hazardous materials — such as hazardous waste cleanup sites, facilities with hazardous chemicals that require an emergency response team, or hazmat cleanup operations.
At Provenio, our training is engaging and informative! We use hands-on drills and gamification exercises so your team will enjoy and remember what they learned. We teach the why behind chemical reactions at the level your team needs, based on the substances in their facilities.
We can also support hazmat teams to develop or refine policies and procedures, help you find the right PPE, and figure out what you need.
Taught by a firefighting veteran
HAZWOPER is Principal Consultant Brad Kramer’s favorite course to teach because it draws on his firefighting, watershed, industry, and training experiences:
- National Fire Academy — three times for advanced training & hazmat courses
- Accredited fire instructor
- MN Homeland Security & Emergency Management Regional Review Committee — advising county emergency management on hazmat response planning
- Member, Community College Consortium for Health and Safety Training (CCCHST)
